Effects of surfactant and nanofluid on the performance and optimization of a microchannel heat sink

This paper reports the influence of surfactant Triton X-100 on boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) nanofluid in non-optimized and optimized microchannel heat sink (MCHS) at 30 °C 50 °C. The MCHS performance was evaluated terms thermal resistance pressure drop, utilizing experimental thermophysical properties distilled water, a mixture water as base fluid, BNNTs weight concentration 0.001% into models which further with Multiple Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) technique. It is found that improves capabilities without by 0.8% even after optimizing according to fluid properties. Conversely, reduces drop greatly any change paired cooperatively 0.001wt.% - mitigating increment caused resulting an overall improvement 1.25% 1.97% for respectively systems reduced 1.3% 3.2% optimization. Optimized dimensions given MOPSO could be manufactured additionally gave wider solutions large reduction up 80% economic drawback higher resistance.
